It’s Time to Write That Story!
Now that Volumes I and II of People of Newcastle and the Hunter Valley: Their Stories – Our Heritage have been launched, it is time to think about stories for Volume III, the last in the series.
These first two volumes contain some wonderful contributions from our members and their friends. If you have been thinking of submitting a story of an ancestor or simply someone who interests you, remember stories can be anything in length up to 1500 words. The only proviso is that the main subject of the story must have been buried or cremated somewhere in Newcastle or the Hunter Valley. Photographs, sketches, maps etc are always most welcome.
Volume III already has a number of stories one of which tells of a lady who was better known than Nobbys, another of a policeman who may or may not have known what his wife got up to behind his back and yet another story is of a quietly-living man and his truly amazing legacy.

Please remember this is the last Volume in the series and once the allocated number of 50 stories is received, we will not be able to accept any more entries for this work.
Thank you in anticipation – Maree & Ken Shilling
