Notice of NFHS Annual General Meeting
Tuesday 6 May 2025 at 2pm
Dear Members,
The Annual General Meeting of the Newcastle Family History Society Inc. has been called for Tuesday 6 May 2025 commencing at 2.00pm. The meeting will be held in the Society rooms at 68 Elder Street, Lambton as well as via Zoom.
All positions on the Management Committee will be declared vacant and nominations are now sought for the following elected positions:
President
Vice-president
Treasurer
Secretary
General Member 1
General Member 2
General Member 3
General Member 4
General Member 5
Nomination forms for the above elected positions are available as an attachment below, at the Society’s rooms and on our website from 1 April 2025. All forms must include the signature of the nominee, proposer, and seconder as well as the date. Nominations close on 29 April 2025 and forms should be emailed to the Secretary or placed in the provided envelope and left in the Secretary’s pigeonhole at the Society. They may also be posted to our NFHS Secretary, P.O. Box 296, Jesmond NSW 2299 to arrive no later than 29 April 2025.
Our Society depends on people volunteering for roles not only such as those mentioned above, but also for the many non-elected positions which keep the Society running. You are encouraged to self-nominate for any of the following:

Website Coordinator Newsletter Editor
Snippers Coordinator IT Officer
Assistant Secretary Assistant Treasurer
Sandgate Group Coordinator Cleaning Coordinator
Publications Officer Research Coordinator
Maintenance Officer Guest Speaker Coordinator
Facebook Administrator/s Membership Registrar
Forms for the non-elected positions will also be available from 1 April 2025 with the self-nominee required to sign, date the form and return to the Secretary by 29 April 2025 as outlined above.
